Discoloration

Depending on the skin discoloration type and localization, there are applied various methods to remove it. Spectacular effects can be provided by such treatments as: laser therapy, IPL, skin peels and Dermamelan treatment containing brightening agents. An interesting novelty is Dermafrac, which creates micro-channels and offers high-grade active substances. Laser therapy and IPL are based on the radiation absorption of brown pigments (melanin) which are accumulated in spots on the skin. Excess melanin oxidizes and peels off while being exposed to laser and IPL’s radiation. If the spots are shallow then chemical peel or laser therapy is enough to remove them. However, if the skin changes are accompanied by large pores and first aging signs, then fractional laser is considered to be a better solution, which deals great also with removing the post-inflammatory hyper pigmentation. Dermamelan provides effective therapy against hormonal brown spots. It lasts three weeks, however the improvement is almost always visible after seven days. If the pigment lesions are accompanied by changes in skin structure, such as in the case of plane warts, the lesion is evaporated gently by means of CO2-laser treatment.

Tattoos and Permanent Makeup

Tattoo is a practice of skin drawing which emerged when the pigmented particles were introduced. It can be professional, amateur or can take the form of a permanent makeup. Almost all of them can be removed. In order to avoid scars and burns, there should be chosen Q-Switch laser. Ultra-short, nanosecond pulse forms a high energy density which is used to disintegrate tattoo pigment in such a short time that it does not provoke any injuries. Pulses cause micro-explosions in the pigment, what is visible as a temporary elevation of the epidermis. Subsequent treatments remove other pigment layers. The effectiveness of treatment depends on many factors – tattoo colour, depth and density of the pigment, patient’s individual response to the laser therapy, tattoo age. Sometimes may appear discoloured spots temporarily in the pigment’s place. In such case the treatment is combined with fractional laser therapy that speeds up the cleansing process of the skin. In contrast to other methods, the Q-Switch laser does not cause scars. The skin remains as smooth as it was before visiting the tattoo parlour.

Vessels

Vessel changes may be congenital or may appear with age, when the elasticity of blood vessels decreases. On the skin surface emerge visible red or blue mesh or single vessels. Redness, which appears on the face, makes your life harder and reveals your emotions. Do not believe that this condition will disappear just like that; spider veins and redness will not go away on their own! With time it may lead to microcirculation disturbance and cause not only aesthetical problems but also health issues, such as face, cleavage, legs – related diseases. In the vessel lesion treatment, there is used the latest laser technology. Light energy is absorbed by haemoglobin cells in the blood vessels and is converted into heat. High temperature causes that blood vessel narrows and finally closes. Well-chosen wavelength, impulse duration and laser spot size cause that treatment is effective and ensure that skin around the treated spot will not be damaged. It is all about doctor’s experience as well as equipment quality and precision. IPL (Intense Pulse Light) is a technology which is as effective as lasers; in some cases even irreplaceable. The skin is exposed to high intensity light, which is absorbed by the cells under the skin surface. IPL is a great treatment for spider veins as well as erythema, excessive reddening and skin condition improvement. High quality devices should be equipped with replacement filters, allowing to select appropriate wavelength (most of popular IPL machines emit only broad spectrum light, with no possibility of adjustment). Excellent appliance reduces the number of treatments and minimizes the risk of being burned. Closing blood vessels is also an effective method of treatment in the first phase of rosacea as well as while fighting rednesses, caused by the disturbance in the hormonal system of women who reached menopause. In case if vessel lesions are related to skin diseases, then, in the first place, there is provided a dermatological treatment. If you have blue veins on your legs – you are not alone. Almost half of the world’s population suffers from lower extremity vascular disease. It is caused by stress, inappropriate diet and sedentary lifestyle. Most of the changes can be removed using laser and patients are usually able to go to work the very next day. . If, for some reason, the laser therapy cannot be utilized for treatment, we offer our patients sclerotisation method - which provides blood vessel closure by injecting active substances – or miniflebectomy – a technique which consists in removing vessel lesions through small skin incisions. It is essential to comply with all post-treatment recommendations and treatment conditions.
